Secure Stores supports cricket club

Secure Stores Nationwide has donated a 20ft shipping container to Stowupland Cricket Club after thieves broke into the club’s old equipment shed.

The cricket club, based in the Suffolk village where Secure Stores has its headquarters, had been using the shed to store groundskeeping equipment. Following the break-in, a ride-on mower, strimmer and air compressor were stolen, causing concern and disappointment within the local community.

Sarah Manning, Managing Director of Secure Stores, saw a post about the incident on a local Facebook page and offered to help. The company provided a new one-trip 20ft container free of charge, giving the cricket club a more secure place to store its equipment.

The container was supplied from Secure Stores’ Felixstowe depot and delivered using a vehicle fitted with on-board HIAB lifting equipment.

Secure Stores said the donation was an opportunity to support a volunteer-run community club while helping protect valuable equipment used to maintain the cricket ground.
