Crown Worldwide Group reports sustainability progress as science-based climate commitment sets course for 53% emissions reduction.

Crown Worldwide Group has published its 2026 Sustainability Report, highlighting significant progress across environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities and further embedding sustainability as a core enabler of its 2030 Group Strategy. The report demonstrates measurable progress in decarbonisation, employee engagement, community impact and governance, reinforcing Crown’s commitment to building a more resilient, responsible and sustainable business.

The report’s headline achievement is Crown’s commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with Board-approved targets establishing a 2024 baseline and a pathway to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 53% by 2035. In the first year of the programme, Crown reduced emissions by 5.58%, outperforming its annual reduction target of 4.2% and demonstrating that sustainability is increasingly being translated into practical action across its global operations.

It is becoming a business discipline with modified performance metrics that drives growth, value, and resilience, and is a source of renewed motivation and pride for our employees everywhere.”

Environmental performance was a standout area of progress in 2025. Fleet optimisation, electrification, energy efficiency initiatives and increased renewable energy procurement contributed to reductions in emissions and energy consumption. Renewable electricity procurement increased to more than 29% of purchased energy, while several markets delivered notable local achievements, including energy-saving initiatives in Hong Kong, renewable energy projects in India and solar-powered infrastructure investments in Indonesia and New Zealand.

Crown also continued to expand circular economy services, helping clients reduce waste and extend asset lifecycles through refurbishment, reuse and recycling programmes. In 2025, more than 300 items were refurbished through Crown’s circular service offerings, preventing nearly 2,000 tonnes of carbon emissions and diverting 416 tonnes of waste.

Beyond environmental performance, the report highlights strong social outcomes. Employee engagement remained high, with 90% of employees identifying Crown as a great place to work and 86% participating in the annual Employee Experience Survey. Learning and development also expanded significantly, with employees completing more than 4,000 hours of learning through LinkedIn Learning and averaging 14.6 hours of training per employee, exceeding Group targets.

The company also celebrated its 60th anniversary year by launching the Crown Pioneers Challenge, a global innovation programme that engaged employees from 11 countries and generated dozens of new business ideas. At the same time, teams worldwide participated in the Global Giving Back Project, supporting causes aligned to climate action, quality education and community wellbeing.

Governance and responsible business practices continued to strengthen throughout the year. Crown enhanced ESG oversight through its governance framework, strengthened ethics and compliance processes, advanced sustainable procurement practices and continued investment in data protection and information security. Independent validation of these efforts came through Crown’s latest EcoVadis assessment, which delivered a score of 63/100 and placed the Group among the top-performing companies in its sector, with environmental performance improving by 24.6% and sustainable procurement ranking among the strongest-performing areas.
