JK Moving recognised

JK Moving Services has been named one of the Washington DC metropolitan area’s top corporate philanthropists by the Washington Business Journal.

The company, headquartered in Loudoun County, Virginia, reported corporate donations of $716,000 in 2025, moving from 28th to 26th place on the publication’s list of corporate philanthropic givers.

JK Moving said one of its most significant community initiatives is the nonprofit JK Community Farm, which supports food security and environmental sustainability. The farm produces more than 50 varieties of vegetables, fruits, proteins and herbs with support from volunteers, local companies and JK employees.

Produce from the farm is donated to food banks and pantries, including Loudoun Hunger Relief, Food for Others, Arlington Food Assistance Center and DC Central Kitchen. JK Moving said the farm has distributed more than 1 million pounds of vegetables and protein to families facing food insecurity, including more than 250,000 pounds last year.

The company also said JK Land Holdings has conserved farmland to protect it from development. Across its wider activities, more than 22,000 acres have been placed into conservation easement.

JK Moving Services and its associated companies employ nearly 1,200 people and operate offices in five countries.
