New storage site opens

Lock Stock Self Storage is opening its first site in Staffordshire as part of its continuing expansion across the UK.

The new one-acre storage park is located on Uttoxeter Road in Stoke-on-Trent and will provide 140 containers. Customers will be able to rent 10ft, 20ft and 40ft units, serving both household and business storage needs.

Founded in Denbigh, North Wales, in 2000, Lock Stock now operates more than 35 sites with over 5,700 storage units. The family-run company said Stoke-on-Trent had been identified as a target location due to rising demand for storage from residents and local businesses.

Richard Warner, area manager, said the Staffordshire site was an exciting first step into the county and strengthened the company’s presence in the West Midlands. He said the site brought undeveloped land into use in a strong location on one of the main roads into Stoke.

Ollie Beech, marketing and communications officer, said the move followed a positive response to recent openings in Cheshire and the north west. He said the company aimed to become part of the local community while offering safe, secure and accessible storage.

Lock Stock said its containers are used by people moving home, decluttering or storing possessions, as well as by businesses needing secure space for stock, tools and equipment. The company said CCTV, coded gates and solar lighting support security across its sites.
