Grace Removals NZ is constructing a brand-new warehouse in Porirua, Wellington, with enhanced seismic protection and new climate-controlled storage availability.
The new building is well protected, sustainable and endurable. Built to the higher IL3 seismic rating, it will be able to withstand a 1 in 1000-year earthquake.
A highly specialised climate control system has been designed by 22 Degrees for ultimate protection during storage, especially long-term, to keep items within recommended temperature and low humidity ranges. The new building will also include a very early smoke detection system (VESDA) and a dry-pipe double knock sprinkler system.
Grace said it’s working towards a Green Star – Design And As Built NZ v1.1 rating so is thrilled the new warehouse has achieved a 4 Star Green Star Design rating.
