OpenTech appoints Larry Gorman as technology chief 

OpenTech Alliance has appointed Larry Gorman as its new Chief Technology Officer, succeeding founding CTO Davin Dameron, who will retire at the end of 2026. 

Gorman joined the self-storage technology company in May to lead its artificial intelligence strategy and support the development of new solutions for operators. 

He brings more than 25 years’ technology leadership experience across the hospitality, residential and multifamily property sectors. His previous work has included developing cloud-based property management systems, integrating technology across major property portfolios and creating AI-powered leasing solutions. 

His initial priorities at OpenTech will include introducing an AI-based software development lifecycle, accelerating the delivery of new products and features, and developing the company’s future technology architecture. 

OpenTech also plans to explore AI-enabled tools designed to simplify facility management, improve the customer journey and help self-storage operators make more effective use of their data. AI will also be incorporated into the company’s internal development processes.
