The Movers & Storers Show returns to NAEC Stoneleigh on 17–18 November 2026, bringing the industry together at a time when collaboration, innovation and the willingness to embrace change have arguably never been more important. 

 
There’s no escaping the fact that the removals and self-storage industries have faced a challenging few years. Economic uncertainty, a changing housing market, rising costs, recruitment pressures and rapidly evolving customer expectations have all had an impact. 

At the same time, technology is developing at an extraordinary pace – creating opportunities to operate more efficiently, improve the customer experience and reach new markets. 

The businesses that succeed in the years ahead may therefore look very different from those of the past.

Against this backdrop, the theme running through The Movers & Storers Show 2026 is “Working Together for a Better Future”  because – while nobody has all the answers – bringing the industry together creates an opportunity to ask the right questions, share experiences and learn from each other. 

And this year’s Show is shaping up to deliver exactly that.

Knowledge has always been an important part of The Movers & Storers Show, but for 2026 we are taking the seminar programme another step forward. 

Under the “Working Together for a Better Future” theme, the FREE programme will combine presentations from leading and highly regarded industry figures with three major panel discussions designed to encourage genuine debate. 

The first will look at the future of the removals industry and how we best shape it. What needs to change? Where are the opportunities? What will tomorrow’s successful removals business look like – and what can we collectively do to create a stronger industry? 

Our second panel will focus on technology: what’s out there and how can it genuinely drive value? Crucially, this will include operators on the panel, bringing the conversation back to practical experience. Technology should not be adopted simply because it is new; it needs to solve problems, improve efficiency, enhance customer service or deliver measurable commercial value. 

Our third panel turns the spotlight on self-storage and the journey to success. With diversification increasingly on the agenda for removal businesses, self-storage presents an interesting opportunity – but what does the journey really involve, what lessons can be learnt from those already doing it and what are the potential pitfalls? 

Alongside the panels will be a series of focused sessions presented by respected figures from across the industry, sharing experience, knowledge and practical ideas that visitors can take back into their own businesses. 

The objective is not to tell people what the future looks like. It is to start conversations about how, together, we can shape it. 

Sometimes the most valuable conversation happens over coffee 

Which brings us to perhaps the most important part of the Show: networking. 

We can communicate instantly through email, Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp and social media, but there remains enormous value in simply sitting down with somebody face-to-face. 

The Show brings together business owners, managers, operators, suppliers, associations, innovators and industry specialists from across the UK and beyond. It is an opportunity to reconnect with existing contacts, strengthen relationships, exchange ideas and meet people you might otherwise never encounter.
